This is the same Mario who, earlier this year, walked off the training pitch one weekday to be asked for his autograph by a youngster. His reponse was to ask why the boy wasn't in school. A story eventually came out that the boy was being bullied. Mario took him (and his mother) to the school, went in to see the headmaster and then apparently mediated between the two boys until they had made up. A very brief statement from the club simply said that 'Mario cares about children's education'. Very few media outlets bothered with the story.
