Timberwolves, surgery would put Kevin Love out 3 months
The player risks to undergo surgery
That's because All-Star Kevin Love could be lost for the season after re-fracturing the third metacarpal bone in his right hand last week. It's also possible Love's New York City doctor will advise against surgery. But if surgery is necessary, Love will be gone for a minimum of three months, the source said. The source said there's a far better likelihood than not that some sort of trade happens. The deadline is Feb. 21.

Re: Lista infortunati per FantaNBA
Glen Davis (shoulder) did not practice Friday, as expected.
Davis got some shots up after Thursday's practice, but that doesn't mean he's necessarily close to getting cleared for contact. He's only 2.5 weeks into a 4-6 week timetable. The Orlando Sentinel says a "good guess" is that Davis will be back on the court "inside two weeks
Byron Mullens (severely sprained left ankle) is no longer wearing a walking boot, but there is no timetable for his return.
It's been two weeks since Mullens was hurt and he was originally projected to miss at least a month. He'll likely have to spend at least another week rehabbing before putting any sort of serious strain on the ankle, meaning Mullens is likely at least two to three weeks away from returning.

Intanto...
Wizards owner Ted Leonsis wrote on his personal blog that he hopes to have all of his players available for the first time this season on Saturday.
"We play next on Saturday night at home and it is possible but not quite certain, for the first time all season, that we could dress all of our players," Leonsis wrote. "I don't want to jinx it, but we are all hoping that is what we will see." This suggests that John Wall is targeting Saturday for his season debut.

MULLENS
Mullens avoids big break: When Bobcats center Byron Mullens fell awkwardly on his ankle last week, the seven-footer instinctively knew he had suffered a serious injury. “When I went down I told them it was broken. I looked down at my leg and it was jammed to the side,” Mullens told the Charlotte Observer Saturday. “Later I looked at (the fall) on TV and it looked bad then, too.” Luckily, his instincts proved wrong, as he was ultimately diagnosed with just a bad sprain. He was out of his walking boot Saturday, and has been able to walk without any noticeable limp. Despite his significant progress in recent days, the team still does not have a timetable for his return.

CICCIO
Davis begins shooting b-ball: The Orlando Sentinel reports Magic center Glen Davis participated in shooting drills Thursday for the first time since hurting his left shoulder Dec. 19. Still, Davis hasn't had any contact since sustaining the injury and it's unclear when he will return.

BOGUT
Bogut not giving up on season: Despite not having played in nearly two months, Warriors center Andrew Bogut said Saturday that he is confident he will move past his troublesome ankle injury and return to the court at some point. When that will happen remains hazy as the team and Bogut have placed a strict hush policy on discussing the injury. "I'll definitely play this season," Bogut told The Courier-Mail. "I think I'll be ready to play this season. It's just a matter of when. I definitely don't think I'll miss the whole season. If I do I'll be pretty distraught about it."
BYNUM
Bynum keeping positive outlook: After nearly a month passed without an update on his status, 76ers center Andrew Bynum said his ailing left knee "is better," but there is still no timetable for his return to game action, the Bucks County Times reports. "It's really good," Bynum said Monday. "I feel good." The 25-year-old has been sidelined all season because of the troublesome issue while being limited to walking on a treadmill. He said he hopes to advance to running soon, and does not have any meetings with doctors scheduled. "It's possible, but the doctor says it's going to resolve itself," Bynum said of a setback.
NENE
Nene sidelined by knee issue : Wizards center Nene was ruled out for Monday's contest against the Thunder as he continues to battle tendinitis in his right knee. Nene, who missed five of six shots and finished with just five points in Washington's loss to the Heat Sunday night, is being considered day to day with his latest ailment.
e WALL, che potrebbe rientrare a breve, forse addiritura sabato
Wall might return Saturday: Washington guard John Wall could make his long-awaited season debut Saturday against Atlanta after rehabbing his injured left knee since late September, The Associated Press reports. Wizards owner Ted Leonsis said on his blog Tuesday that "it is possible but not quite certain, for the first time all season, that we could dress all of our players" for the home matchup against the Hawks. Wall has been recovering from a stress injury to his left knee cap and recently returned to practice. The former No. 1 overall pick has been one of several players missing significant time for the Wizards, who dressed only nine for Monday's win over Oklahoma City.
