Non so mai dove mettere le notizie di carattere generale quindi secondo me un topic simile potrebbe servire. Apro con una notizia che mi rende un pochino triste:
NBA referee Dick Bavetta will retire this summer after 39 years with the league, during which he called a record 2,635 regular season games.
Bavetta also called 270 playoff games, including 27 Finals games, and his retirement at age 74 is a bittersweet moment for NBA fans. He summed up his approach to his job during an interview in 2006, saying, "I've always felt the responsibility I take on as an NBA referee is 365 days a year, 24/7. If someone never meets another NBA referee, they're going to judge all NBA referees by me."
Mi mancherà, era un ottimo arbitro, non ammalato di troppo protagonismo, persino simpatico. Il mio highlight personale su di lui rimane la gara di corsa che fece contro Barkley in un ASG di qualche anno fa, ricordo che avevo le lacrime agli occhi dalle risate!
