Mostruoso Kyrie...Nel momento più difficile entra e ne mette 12 di fila portandoci in vantaggio(tra cui di nuovo uno spin move mica male)...Poi,legge l'adeguamento della difesa e la uccide con dei cioccolatini a Jamison che mettono in ritmo anche il 4(impresa difficilissima perchè in ritmo non ci va mai...).
Nel finale rientra(tardi,maledizione Byron..) e ne fa altri 4 importanti per mantenerci davanti.Assoluto dominatore della partita.



5-5 di puro Irving..

LOS ANGELES – Alonzo Gee's season began with a fall that would have put most stuntmen out of action and into traction. On opening night, the Cavaliers wingman lost his grip on the rim and landed on his neck and shoulders.
Gee popped up instantaneously. Nothing has kept him down since. Kyrie Irving is the Cavaliers' best story. Gee is their most pleasantly surprising one.
A season ago he was waived by two NBA franchises and needed to beat out a handful of other tryouts to join a Cavaliers team in the middle of a 26-game losing streak. Now, he's a key contributor on one of the league's most productive benches, a player for whom coach Byron Scott is starting to design a few plays to capitalize on his athleticism.
When we think of this season of development, the primary focus is Irving and fellow rookie Tristan Thompson. But Scott also is trying to find what parts are salvageable for the future. Gee is not a starter on a good team, but the 2009-10 D-League rookie of the year might have value. You can say that about lots of guys who drift between the minor leagues and theends of NBA benches. Look at Christian Eyenga, who despite the all that leaping ability is yet to make the jump from prospect to established player.
What allows an undrafted free agent like Gee to succeed is the right opportunity and the willingness to work for it. He spent part of the off-season in Cleveland training with Scott, trying to improve his footwork and shooting before playing two months in Poland during the lockout.
The question with players like Gee is how long will the confidence last?
It's too early to tell, but along with Ramon Sessions, he has been the club's most consistent reserve. The small forward is averaging 7.8 points and 3.5 rebounds and outplaying starter Omri Casspi. On Friday, the coaching staff gave the sculpted 6-6 Gee a shot at guarding Kobe Bryant, who was wearing out everyone else on the way to a 42-point night.
Gee has been a reliable defender since preseason, but Scott is seeing what else he can draw from the 24-year-old bereft of a guaranteed contract. The coach confirmed this week the Cavs are starting to run some plays for Gee.
Scott initially said it was a reward for his defensive diligence, but later conceded there's more to the team's thinking. The coach was asked if Gee is someone who potentially could join the small ranks of Irving, Antawn Jamison and Ramon Sessions -- Cavs who can create their own shots.
"I think we are trying to get to that point," Scott said. "Getting him to be a more face-up guy is something we are working on. I think he's a guy who eventually can do it because he's worked on his shot and he can get to the basket."
From flat on his back in the opener to guarding Kobe in Staples Center, no player has been full of more surprises than Gee.

The Cleveland Cavaliers today announced that Zydrunas Ilgauskas is joining the team’s front office as Special Assistant to the General Manager. The announcement was made today by Cavs General Manager Chris Grant. In his role as Special Assistant to the General Manager, Ilgauskas will be involved with front office responsibilities, including evaluation of amateur and professional prospects.
“We are very pleased to have Z begin the next phase of his basketball career with the Cavaliers and I am looking forward to working closely with him. Z has always had a great desire to learn and succeed and he already has a deep understanding and appreciation of the game and the NBA. We are extremely happy to welcome him back as part of our franchise,” said Grant.

Beh dai,non abbiamo giocato una brutta partita...Cioè si,ma almeno li abbiamo fatti giocare come volevamo noi...

Continuo ad adorare Gee che oltre ad un paio di giocate paranormali marcava chiunque...Visto su James(benissimo in quelle situazioni),Chalmers(bene) e Bosh(su alcuni cambi,nulla de che) in diversi possessi...

Massimo rispetto per Sessions comunque,ma Scott dovrebbe smetterla col misurare i minuti di Irving...Non so se non può andare oltre una data soglia,se non vuole sciuparlo,etc....Ma 28',con Sessions per lunghi spezzoni in campo e senza il tempo di far prendere il ritmo a Kyrie(8' poi fuori,6' poi fuori,7' poi fuori,6' finali)....BASTA.

Qualche considerazione interessante su Kyrie,difesa e attacco,da questa partita...Qualcosa da scrivere a mente più fredda...

Certo se tutta la partita attaccasse come negli ultimi 5'...Peccato che certe volte sia un po' sedato...Mostruosa comunque la voglia di vincere,ne ha fatti 21 su 32 a partita compromessa già da tanto,ma sembrava l'unico a crederci e ci è andato vicino...

Il messaggio dello spot è chiarissimo...

Irving è una cosa di cui si sono inaspettatamente accorti(certo,0 partite concesse) mentre rovistavano tra la spazzatura(Cleveland).

Che una prima scelta non vada mai in TV Nazionale è scandaloso...negli anni scorsi hanno dato passaggi alle scelte di Clips o Wizards.Ovviamente Irving non lo degnano di un passaggio.

Ma ESPN è notoriamente schierata...Stein a distanza di due anni nel suo primo power ranking della stagione nella descrizione della nostra squadra ancora parlava di Lebron James...

A me non dispiace per il rapporto ESPN-Cleveland-TV(preferisco sentirmi Carr da homer piuttosto che sentire Barry prenderci per il culo),mi dispiace per Irving...Perchè son sicuro che anche se sta tirando con percentuali irreali,e sta dominando partite in cui ne gioca 28'...e se facessimo un nono-decimo record ad Est(miracoloso) ancora si starà discutendo se dare il ROY all'altro.Ma del resto su questo forum stesso si leggono messaggi "Il ROY non è in discussione,già vinto" pro-Rubio...mah...

cmq Rubio non sta giocando affatto peggio...ha cifre super...e il suo innesto,col coach,risulta decisivo per adesso nel rendere Minnie una squadra da quasi 50% ad Ovest...che,pur annacquato,resta migliore come livello medio dell'Est...dove ci sono squadre ben peggiori
