Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao has a broken right wrist and is out indefinitely.

Varejao was injured in the third quarter of Friday night's 113-112 overtime loss to Milwaukee and did not return. The results of an MRI performed Saturday revealed a non-displaced fracture of the wrist. The team said a timeline for his return to action will be established next week after further testing.

Varejao is having the best season of his eight-year career, averaging 10.8 points with 11.5 rebounds and providing a spark with his hustling style of play.

Varejao is Cleveland's second starter to sustain an injury this week. Rookie point guard Kyrie Irving is out for the third straight game because of a concussion. The Cavaliers are hosting Philadelphia.

Okafor had played in all 27 games for the Hornets this season and posting average of 9.9 points and 7.9 rebounds a night. Portland F LaMarcus Aldridge will not travel with the team to Golden State, putting his status for Wednesday's contest against the Warriors in serious doubt, reports the Oregonian. Aldridge sprained his left ankle in the first quarter of Tuesday night's contest against the Wizards after stepping on Trevor Booker's foot . He immediately hobbled off the floor and was unable to return in the 124-109 loss.

Nuggets C Nene was ruled out for Tuesday's game against Phoenix and is expected to also miss Wednesday's contest at Dallas with a troublesome calf injury. "How long Nene will be out? I don't know," coach George Karl told the Denver Post on Monday. "He'll probably miss Tuesday's game, maybe a few more. ...
