partita molto bella da un punto di vista agonistico ma tante forzature da entrambe le parti...

scarto del tutto ingeneroso per i celtics (titolari -contro- titolari è finita +18 per i rockets...)

molto bene harden e westbrook nel secondo tempo, non ho capito come mai tucker fosse per gran parte della sfida su theis...invece che su tatum o su brown...

cmq per l'ennesima volta si son visti i frutti dell'avere il campo allargato al massimo -contro- una difesa molto buona come quella dei celtics...

con buona pace degli estimatori del clint capela...

“Well, I think (the spacing helps) both of them,” Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni said of the small lineups. “I mean, it should. It opens up the floor for them. Both of them are great drivers and finishers, especially Russell. That’s his game. James has his stepback so whether it’s clogged up, he still has an arsenal he can go to.

“For Russell, it’s really advantageous and it will be for James, too. It makes him really hard to guard. But it also should trickle down to everybody else, too. There should be open shots for Covington and (Ben) McLemore and P.J. (Tucker), and it’ll just keep going on. If we can read it all night, then we’re going to be hard (to beat.) We’ll be really tough.”

At 34-20, the Rockets are ahead of their pace last season, when they reached the break at 32-22 and finished 53-29. When asked if the Rockets have a similar run in them, D’Antoni said, “We better.”

“I think they feel that (they will),” D’Antoni said. “I would have loved to have won against Utah and we’d have been rolling a little bit more. But wins will take care of themselves if we play offensively, we get the right shots, defensively we keep improving, keep our energy up and keep battling. We’ll be all right.”

“He can play five positions (defensively), which we want,” D’Antoni said. “Then, we’ll see where it goes from there. He gives us a little more length, a little more athleticism. He can open the floor for Russell (Westbrook). Russell’s really playing well and we want to keep him playing well. The second part is we have a unique team. Our littles can guard bigs. So, why not spread it out and maximize Russell’s athletic ability and James (Harden’s) ability to get to the rim?”

“I figured if somebody would try it, it would be Mike (D’Antoni, the Rockets coach) and Daryl (Morey, the Rockets general manager),” Kerr said with a laugh. “The tough thing is defensively. You have to be willing to take your medicine because you’re not going to have the rim protection. So, then it becomes a math question. Can you gain more at the offensive end than you are giving up on the defensive end.

“That’s sort of what everybody is wrestling with these days with the tempo and all the 3s. The best teams are the ones that can put as many two-way guys as possible on the floor. I haven’t seen a great defensive team yet, though, that didn’t have at least somebody protecting the paint. So, it’s a really interesting experiment. It’s going to be fun to watch.”

bisogna anche aggiungere che shaq, duncan,garnett e rasheed non fanno parte dell'nba contemporanea...

cmq interessante che kerr dia giudizi,dopo che lui nel 2008 aveva fatto la scelta opposta... scambiando marion per shaq...

ci attendiamo che la squadra giochi duro come ha fatto nel post-all star break nelle ultime due stagioni.

questa sera sfida contro GS più insidiosa di quanto si possa pensare; vediamo quanto kerr raddoppierà harden...

nella gara di natale lo fece in maniera forsennata e nel secondo tempo ANCHE con l'uomo di capela, cosa che per ovvi motivi... non potra' fare oggi!

gordon ancora fuori per problemi ad una gamba...

mi attendo una bella sfida: pronostico un 20-8 per il finale di stagione regolare...

buona partita @ san francisco ma...

il quintetto con westbrook più 4 gregari non ha funzionato molto, -inoltre- l'avversario era molto modesto, fuori ritmo e forse anche poco motivato dalla sfida...

cmq molto bene ancora una volta covington, ok harden (10 assist 1 TO...) e pj tucker.

bene i 31 assists e le 25 triple; vediamo adesso che gara tireranno fuori @ utah sabato, contro un avversario in back-to-back...

non ho capito come mai GS sia andata così tanto in post-basso con i suoi lunghi , visto che non hanno esattamente queste caratteristiche, in particolare chriss e looney , mah...

bene alcuni gregari come mclemore e green, harden : molto bene in attacco ma troppo permissivo in difesa...

solo 20 assist, -16 a rimbalzo... insomma non una grande uscita!
