Seven Teams Reach Out To Nene
Front office executives from several teams are trying to be the first team to meet with Nene at midnight on December 9th in Brazil.
“That will go down to the wire,” a source close to Nene said.
The Denver Nuggets, New Jersey Nets, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers were among the teams that reached out to Nene’s representatives on Wednesday.
Nene appears to be the main free agent prize for teams with cap space.
The Nuggets will almost certainly pay Nene more than they would have if they were more serious in their extension offer earlier in the year.
The Nets could be the major contender for Nene, as they can provide the ability to play with Deron Williams.
Hornets, Pacers Likely Leaders For David West
As expected, the Hornets and Pacers appear to be the leading contenders for David West.
West's future with New Orleans, however, could be tied to what the team decides to do with Chris Paul. If Dell Demps believes there is a chance of convincing Paul to re-sign with the club, he will be more aggressive in signing West to a new deal.
Butler Receives Interest From Nets, Clippers, Heat, Spurs, Knicks
The Nets, Clippers, Bulls, Heat, Spurs and Knicks all expressed interest in Caron Butler on Wednesday.
Butler is recovering from a knee injury that ended his season.

Io neanche con Hibbert.
Poi strapperebbe un contrattone per venire, a 31 anni dopo un grave infortunio.

Alex Kennedy: The Knicks want another star, but they're also targeting veteran role players. Sources say they're interested in Grant Hill and Jeff Foster.
Jason Quick: Blazers will also look at Carl Landry and Chuck Hayes, knowing that Landry would probably command the full $5 mid-level exception.
Alex Kennedy: The Philadelphia 76ers may start shopping Lou Williams, according to sources close to the situation.

Memphis owner Michael Heisley reiterated Wednesday that he will retain Marc Gasol, even if the restricted free agent signs an offer sheet.
"Obviously, we want to sit down and try to make a deal with Marc," Heisley told The Commercial-Appeal. "I'm committed to keeping him. I'm committed to winning a championship."

Nuggets want to re-sign Nene, Afflalo
Denver Nuggets General Manager Masai Ujiri said he will try to re-sign free agents Nene and Arron Afflalo when teams can agree to terms with players starting Dec. 9. Nene opted out of the last season of his contract and is one of the most sought-after players on the market. Ujiri said he has contacted the center's agent and wants to bring him back.

Re: Off season 2011
One of the most explosive restricted free agents, Washington Wizards guard Nick Young, is intriguing to several teams, but most wonder: Will the Wizards simply match any offer for him?
The Bulls are desperate for a scoring guard, and they have expressed interest in Young, front office sources said.Still, Chicago doesn’t have the cap space to make him an offer outside of Washington’s willingness to match the deal. The Bulls could find a way to be creative, however, but they’ll keep talking to several shooting guards and explore trades.
The Thunder didn’t discuss a contract buyout with Nate Robinson on Wednesday, but he desperately wants to get out of the final year of his deal, a league source said. He’s just not going to play much for the Thunder. Orlando could be a landing spot for Robinson, should he become a free agent.
If Tayshaun Prince leaves Detroit without a starting small forward, the Pistons will have to work through a thin class to find a starter. For depth at the position, the Pistons will take a close look at free agent Mike Dunleavy, who is leaving the Indiana Pacers.
Tracy McGrady wants to play for the Bulls, sources said, and coach Tom Thibodeau has a relationship with him going back to their Houston Rockets days together. T-Mac is still a consideration to return to the Pistons, too.
Miami, Chicago and New Jersey are strongly considering offers for Knicks free-agent forward Shawne Williams, who is coming off a strong season. The Knicks will make a strong bid to keep him, and he’s inclined to stay with them for a multiyear offer.
